Echo Resort formed in the ashes of the COVID pandemic and came together to express a unique take on the transformation that is taking place on Earth as well as the personal transformation that comes along with it. Their first EP “The Beginning of the End” consists of songs that speak on letting go, surrendering and finding our personal voice by facing our fears of uncertainty and writing a new story. A process that took about a year to complete.

Echo Resorts styling comes from a post punk, indie, dream pop realm and uses sweeping melodies and dreamy guitar lines with an ambient synth backdrop that is truly unique. All of the songs featured on the EP were written collaboratively at Codex Studio in Chiang Mai. Their process usually starts with a beat and they layer guitar and bass lines, finishing off with the lyrics and vocal melodies.

Each member is equally involved in the creation process and brings different elements from their other projects Gazekate, VELS. and Dirt Doll. “The Beginning of the End” will take you on a journey of transformation that inspires hope and bravery in creating a more harmonious way of life.
